Solace RainPro V3.0 Rain Pants
Rain gear is the one piece of kit judged entirely on the worst day you own it. The RainPro V3.0 is a 10000mm poly-nylon shell with sealed seams, cut slim so it does not balloon and flap at highway speed — which is what makes cheap rainwear exhausting to wear and quick to tear.
It is designed to go over your riding gear, not instead of it. There is no armour here and none is implied: this is a waterproof layer over a jacket that already protects you. It doubles as a windbreaker on cold mornings, packs into its own pouch, and pulls on over riding trousers and boots.
The V3 pant is the sensible everyday choice - pull it on over riding trousers at the first sign of rain and pack it away after. Step up to the 16K if you ride daily through the season.

FAQs
Q: What size should I buy?
Size for what goes underneath. This is worn over a riding jacket and boots, so your usual size will be tight. If in doubt, size up and tell us what you ride in.
Q: Does it have armour?
No. It is a waterproof shell to wear over protective gear, not a replacement for it.
Q: What does 10000mm mean?
A hydrostatic head rating — the water column the fabric resists before leaking. 10000mm handles sustained heavy rain; the 16K version is the step up.
Q: Will it survive a full monsoon season?
The fabric and seams will. What kills rainwear is abrasion — packing it wet, or letting it flap. Dry it before storing and keep the fit close.
Q: Is there a warranty?
Six months from Solace, manufacturing and workmanship defects only. It does not cover rips, tears, cuts, burns or abrasion.
Local Buying Guide
In an Indian monsoon the question is not whether you get wet but how long you stay dry and how well you are seen. A high hydrostatic rating with sealed seams and reflective panels beats a cheap poncho on both counts. See the rest of the waterproof jackets and rain pants.
