The K1 S is AGV's entry into their racing line - the shell that borrows its shape and ventilation logic from the helmets AGV builds for MotoGP, at a price that puts it within reach. The Solid version is the plain-shell option, in gloss or matt black.

Buying a solid finish over a replica graphic is mostly a question of how long you want the helmet to look current. Rider replicas are tied to a season and a name; a plain black shell is not, and it works with any motorcycle and any jacket you own now or later.

Gloss or matt is the only functional difference between the two. Gloss shows swirl marks and fingerprints more readily but cleans up brighter. Matt hides light scuffing and road film better, and is harder to polish out if it does get marked.
