The FF805 Thunder is LS2's racing flagship and the GP Aero is its aero-shell version - a carbon fibre helmet built for track speeds, with a rear spoiler shaped to keep the head stable in the turbulent air behind a screen at three-figure speeds.

Carbon is the reason for the price and for the weight: a carbon shell is stiffer than composite at lower mass, which matters over a race distance or a long fast ride where neck fatigue is the real limit. LS2 back it with a 5-year warranty on this shell, against 2 years on their composite models.

Note what is in the box - this one ships with a Pinlock 120 insert AND a tinted visor AND five tear-offs. On most helmets those are three separate purchases.
